From the discussion, it can be concluded that the use of 25% metronidazole gel as the adjunctive therapy in Scaling and Root Planing in Chronic Periodontis with pocket depth of  6mm shows better clinical effect, such as : less gingival bleeding, the reduction of pocket depth, and increasing attachment than 10% PVP-1.
This research is also useful for clinics, especially for periodontics, to cure microorganism causing periodontal abnormality and to avoid surgical operation into curette or even without any operation. However, the application of this gel should be done carefully in order to gain optimal periodontal therapy.
